The Renaissance on Main program is a state program that provides grant funding for downtown revitalization.

In Benton, the program is comprised of a group of citizens dedicated to promoting Benton and tapping into its full potential as a thriving downtown business district.

Its board consists of business owners and residents of Benton devoted to boosting retail and bringing activities to the court square, as well as bringing in new businesses. Its members include county and city government, as well as local merchants.

Currently the board is working to improve parking around the court square, plan downtown activities, improve lighting for evening events and encourage business owners to remain open later during evening activities.

There is so much that can be done and with the help of interested individuals and business owners, Benton can realize its full potential and be a fun place for people to stop, shop and play.
